Acupuncture
Dr. Lawrence Howard, DAc, LAC
Dr. Lawrence Howard DAc, LAC, is a New York State licensed acupuncturist in practice since 1998. His belief is that acupuncture can often yield immediate results. The result is a preferred style which emphasizes selecting acupuncture points that reduce symptoms instead of acupuncture points that hurt. This method of treatment is highly interactive and specialized to the needs of the patient.
His acupuncture career has been multifaceted. He taught in New York College of Health Professions for both acupuncture and massage programs and was an acupuncture clinic supervisor. He is a published author of over two dozen articles including “The Eleventh Question: How You Doin’”, and “Diagnosis by Touching the Qi” which have appeared in publications such as Acupuncture Today and Qi Journal. He is also a continuing education instructor creating and offering professional level courses on his internet platform.
Lawrence is possibly the only Pacific graduate to have three different acupuncture degrees (as they became available) from each of its iterations. He earned a Diploma of Acupuncture from Pacific Institute of Oriental Medicine (1998), a Masters of Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (2000) and finally a Doctorate of Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health Sciences (2023).
When not working, he enjoys studying Irish Gaelic, brewing wine, camping next to the ocean and pondering the nature of life, the universe and everything.
